The Gaia Movement is going to be busy this year. The Gaia Home Garden Club will have meetings and workshops throughout the year. The club continues the efforts to improve sustainable garden efforts in Chicago. The Gaia Home Garden Club will be hosting workshops to discuss gardening techniques and best tips. From the best time of year for seasonal herbs and produce to organic preventative measures for successful harvests.
The Gaia Home Garden Club has been growing since its start in 2023. Starting with 9 members at the very beginning and a need to improve sustainable farming methods in Chicago. Now, the Gaia Home Garden Club has over 20 members and established home gardens with the help of repeat club members. More herbs and produce have been added to the agenda. There have even been more workshops and events added along the way, too. One event in particular was the Gaia Home Garden Club Workshop and Art Exhibition. This was a dual event with the garden club and a new art exhibition that opened at the Gaia Climate Center.
At the same time, more features of the Garden Club have become accessible to all members. For instance, a group chat between the club members and the farming instructors. This provides everyone with a chance to communicate with farming gurus and other community members. They can share tips, successes, and failures to help each other grow. The Gaia Home Garden Club has been a success and we look forward to more home garden successes throughout Chicago!
